Thanks to you, the alliance fielded over 5,000 requests for help last year. And with God’s blessing, we’re winning key victories—securing fundamental freedoms for students, counselors, parents, business owners, ministries, churches and more.
These victories are only possible with your generosity. For example, YOU have helped make it possible for our legal team to argue TWO cases before the U.S. Supreme Court this term—defending the unborn and educational freedom.
Because of YOUR support, our corporate engagement team can play the long game—in just the past year, we’ve authored, defended, and met with companies on over 65 shareholder resolutions. That has resulted in some major policy changes at some of the biggest companies in the world, like JPMorgan Chase, Comcast, and Pepsi.
With YOUR help, we’ve stood beside courageous clients, like Billboard Chris in Australia, and Adam Smith-Connor and Dr. Livia Tossici-Bolt in the U.K. They are all standing for the right to speak and express their views freely—without fear of government pressure or punishment.

Notable U.S. Supreme Court Victories
ADF secured 15 victories since 2011
ADF represented graphic artist Lorie Smith in a landmark free-speech case. On June 30, 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3, reaffirming Lorie’s right—and the right of all Americans—to speak freely, without fear of government censorship or punishment.
This was a generational win for free speech. The government can’t force Americans to say something they don’t believe.
What’s next: This ruling will also benefit other Alliance Defending Freedom clients whose free-speech rights have been violated.
Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission
True tolerance is a two-way street, not a zero-sum game where the government can destroy a person of faith simply for living and working consistent with their deeply held convictions and beliefs. Everyone’s freedom is at risk when the government is able to punish citizens like Jack just because the government doesn’t like how he exercises his artistic freedom.
Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization
Bottom line: In a victory for women and children, the Supreme Court overturned its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that wrongly found a constitutional right to abortion. Find out more here.

Since 2011, ADF has been blessed by God and the generosity of Ministry Friends with 15 U.S. Supreme Court wins as lead or co-counsel. Thanks to these monumental victories, our First Amendment freedoms and God-given rights are more protected today than they were 30 years ago.
