ADF urges HHS to reconsider federal funding of pro-abortion group

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel and Director of Regulatory Practice Matt Bowman regarding a letter ADF sent Thursday to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, urging it to withdraw funds from the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and investigate its improper use of federal funding to promote harmful gender ideology, abortion, racially biased programs, and legally flawed agency guidelines:

“Doctors and medical professionals are bound by oath to ‘do no harm.’ Under the Biden and Obama administrations, however, HHS funneled money to the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists—an organization that actively promotes harmful ideologies and illegal proposals with funds it is still receiving. For example, ACOG is using HHS funds to promote titles like ‘Me and White Supremacy’ and ‘The Imperative for Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusion,’ and ACOG wrote HHS guidelines that were struck down in court. Federal funding for radical advocacy conflicts with President Donald Trump’s executive orders to restore safety and common sense by ending the use of taxpayer dollars to promote gender identityDEI policies, and abortion. We urge the HHS to withdraw funds to ACOG and ensure federal money is promoting actual health priorities for Americans, not funding left-wing activism.”
